A Religious Study Tour of China will be run this summer by the US-China Catholic Association (USCCA). The USCCA has run study tours of China for the past thirty years, mainly for building relations between the Church community in the United States and China.

Especially in light of a potential breakthrough in relations between the Vatican and Beijing, there might be greater need than ever for the academic community to provide the American public with an informed perspective on the religious situation in China. We also think this is a great opportunity for young academics to build China into their research horizon. We have developed this study tour with such a need in mind. Noted historian of Christianity in China Jean-Paul Wiest will accompany tour participants.
