Purdue University, The Center on Religion and Chinese Society invites applications for the Associate Director position beginning in July 2014. The initial appointment will be an Assistant or Associate Research Professor on the 12-month fiscal-year basis and may be renewed contingent upon availability of funds. We seek a scholar of Christianity and other religions who can communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin Chinese. The candidate should have an active research program and will lead research and exchange programs of the center, including the new Leadership Enrichment and Access Program (http://www.purdue.edu/crcs/itemProjects/leap/leap.html). A Ph.D. in a social science discipline is preferred, and at least one year of research or field experience in China is required. A master’s degree in a social science discipline plus at least two years of research and field experience in China may be considered.
