Chapman University’s Institute for the Study of Religion, Economics and Society (IRES) invites applications for postdoctoral and predoctoral fellowships in the economics of religion to start Fall 2016 and continue for up to two years. We aim to support highly promising young scholars doing research that links the study of religion to economics, political science, or sociology. Candidates selected will conduct research in at least one of these fields while at Chapman. They will also be expected to attend seminars, give at least one talk on their research, and assist with other IRES activities.

Job Announcement – Postdoctoral Fellowship for Quantitative Analysis at Purdue University

The Center on Religion and Chinese Society (CRCS) at Purdue is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for Quantitative Analysis to start in January 2016. The Postdoctoral Fellow’s primary responsibility will be quantitative analysis of survey data, writing reports, and preparing manuscripts. The position requires proficiency in statistical analysis software packages such as STATA and SPSS; ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with others; and willingness to travel for fieldwork research and presenting at professional conferences.
